Brittanny Matthews and Krista Osborne Join Activcare Physical Therapy in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE, NC - Brad Hancock, MPT, of Activcare Physical Therapy, announced that Brittanny Matthews, PT, DPT and Krista Osborne, PT, DPT have been hired as staff physical therapists in the Fayetteville office located at 2301 Robeson Street, Suite 204.

Brittanny Matthews, PT, DPT grew up in Garner, North Carolina. She received a BS in Exercise Physiology in 2009 and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2012 from East Carolina University. While completing the Physical Therapy program at ECU, she worked as a Graduate Assistant in the Muscle Physiology laboratory, where she researched the effects of exercise and aging on the Vitamin D receptor located in skeletal muscle cells. Her research ultimately investigated ways physical therapy can further reduce fall risk in the geriatric population.

Krista Osborne, PT, DPT is originally from Portland, Oregon. She received her Bachelor's of Science in Exercise Science from Gonzaga University in 2009 and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Emory University in 2012. Krista has performed research in both gait biomechanics and peripheral nerve injury. She has experience in neurology, pediatrics and acute care and has taken advanced coursework on the treatment of sports injuries. She plans to specialize in the rehabilitation of patients with neurological conditions.

"Brittanny and Krista both offer very specialized expertise to help us continue our mission to provide patients with the best physical therapy care and to improve the quality of life in the Fayetteville community through healing, education and empowerment," said Brad Hancock, MPT, owner of Activcare Physical Therapy.
