Cape Fear Botanical Garden celebrated our brave men and women who have served our country with a Veterans Day Festival at the Garden on November 11, 2016.
Event goers enjoyed a community LEGO® American flag build, craft beer,
inflatables by Saam's Party Tents, climbing wall by The Climbing Place,
local food trucks featuring R Burger,
The date coincides with Nature Connects®: Art with LEGO® Bricks, an award-winning, nationally touring exhibit featuring larger-than-life sculptures built with over 500,000 LEGO® bricks.
Guests explored the sculptures displayed throughout the Garden, view a World War II mock battle scene created entirely from LEGO® bricks, then got involved at the hands-on build stations and participate in a community build of a LEGO® brick American flag, and more activities.
The Fayetteville community has a deep connection with the military due to the close proximity to Fort Bragg, one of the largest military posts in the country.
