The festival, produced by the Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County, is a free event that welcomes around 100,000 visitors each year to Festival Park and surrounding areas in Downtown Fayetteville. The three-day event kicks off on the evening of September 22 with cultural performances throughout downtown Fayetteville. On September 23, the Parade of Nations will be at 10:30 a.m. along Hay Street. After the parade, enjoy the two full days of performances, arts and craft vendors, and cultural food in Festival Park.
The main act for the 39th Folk Festival is the Mystic India; an internationally acclaimed Bollywood dance spectacle based on the concept of ancient India's transition into modern India.
The show will feature renowned musicians, brilliant dancers, breathtaking aerialists and acrobats, and over 500 opulent costumes.
The festival will be begin on Friday, September 22 and continue until Sunday, September 24.
