(Fayetteville, NC) – Please join us for the second annual Home is Where the HeArt Is, an art auction fundraiser hosted by Connections of Cumberland County (CCC), on Thursday, September 27, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at SkyView on Hay in downtown Fayetteville.
Several local artists have already committed to offering their original art works, which will be sold by silent and live auctions. Guests will also enjoy hors d’oeuvres and drinks.
“Last year’s event was a huge success with a sold-out crowd! We are expecting this year to be just as much fun with beautiful original art pieces donated by generous local artists,” said Patty Collie, CCC Board Chair.
Proceeds from the event will help CCC continue to offer services to homeless children and women. Reservations to attend may be made on Connections website, www.connectionsofcc.org, or by calling Connections at (910) 630-0106. Sponsor information and artist donation forms may also be accessed at the Connections website.
Connections of Cumberland County operates the only walk-in Day Resource Center with comprehensive case management designed to serve women and children who are homeless or facing homelessness. Its goal is to collaborate with all community resources to assist clients to become safe and self-sufficient.
Since beginning operation in July of 2014, CCC has served 727 women and 909 children (as of May 31, 2018). Connections was founded as a result of research on homelessness by the Women’s Giving Circle of Cumberland County. These research findings have indicated an ongoing major need for resources for the growing number of local homeless women and children.
