The Fayetteville Downtown Alliance’s Field of Honor event is a way for the community to honor and memorialize the military members that are such an important part of this community. Hundreds of American flags fly on the Parade Grounds of the Airborne and Special Operations Museum in Downtown Fayetteville every year, and the public is invited to visit the field and pay their respects.

It celebrates the veteran, regardless of time served, branch of military, or war-time service. This specific Field of Honor is one of the longest running Fields of Honor in the United States.

The Field of Honor Dedication Ceremony will be held at the ASOM at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 20, and the field will then remain open to the public through June 30, 2017.
