Particulates of Light: Artwork of Jim Hurst Opening Reception

January 15 (Opening Reception 5:30-7pm) – February 26

When an artist applies paint to canvas, they are in effect painting light. As light is made of particles of energy, spray paint is made of particulates of pigment. I came across this spray paint art form only a few years ago and explored its potential to create art, and I found spray paint can emulate light that leaves the piece with a pleasing glow, drawing the viewer like a moth toward the light placed on canvas. Available by appointment or during scheduled events at the theater through February 26th.
