The 6th annual Woofstock event was set for Friday, October 6, at Cape Fear Botanical Gardens.
Woofstock will featured a catered dinner, drinks and live music! Despite its groovy attitude and laid back atmosphere, Woofstock was an event with a purpose: to help Fayetteville’s homeless animals find new forever homes.
In 2016, more than 10,000 dogs and cats were taken into Cumberland County Animal Control. Some of these animals were lucky enough to be adopted by new owners. Others were transferred to no-kill shelters, like FAPS. Over a third, however, were euthanized.
Woofstock’s proceeds helps FAPS to continue to lessen this number, to place shelter pets in healthy, loving homes. This mission involves the spaying/neutering, vaccinating, and microchipping of each pet, but also providing their food and veterinary care while they are with us.
