Pop in for a peeled pineapple and other goodies at Pate’s Farm Market
Michael Pate opened Pate’s Farm Market just off of Bunce Road earlier this month, offering fresh locally grown produce, a hot food menu that changes daily, a bakery with an array of products that are made in-house (some of which can be sampled for free), all-natural soap, a butcher shop and a one-of-a-kind pineapple preparation machine.
When it comes to having a healthy, stress-free meal, Pate’s Farm Market checks all of the boxes, even boxes that most of us did not know could be checked, such as cutting our pineapples in store at just the click of a button. The machine is quick, simple, easy and extremely convenient – customers simply just select a pineapple from the nearby basket, place it into the appropriate space in the machine, put one of the store’s containers into its appropriate place and watch the magic happen. The entire process takes about 20 seconds.
Pate’s Farm Market also has an adjacent plant nursery that has been open since March. The plant nursery features a variety of flowers and bedding plants, trees and shrubs. There are also several employees scattered throughout the nursery that are constantly tending to each and every plant’s needs in order to make sure that they are in the best condition possible for going to their new home.
The market and nursery are both open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
