Sister Janice Geraldine Colvin Ross received a call from her heavenly
Father, God, letting her know that her earthly life was over. All the pain and
suffering was done here on earth also. She was welcomed into her heavenly
home.

Janice was the daughter of the late Andrew Colvin and Lorena Mislap. She
was born on September 17, 1951 in Saint Pauls, NC. She departed this life
on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Lumberton Southeastern Hospital,
Lumberton, NC.

Janice confessed Christ at an early age. She joined Memorial Grove Baptist
Church, Parkton, NC. She was a loyal member until her health failed. Even
on the days she couldn’t attend church, church was still in her heart. She
would say daily, “I’m blessed”, and she certainly was a blessed and living
testimony for many to see and remember.

During Janice’s earlier years, she was employed for 38 years at Technical
Wiring Company in Newark, NJ. She received several awards and plaques
for outstanding services.
Janice was known for her soft and sweet voice. She was humble and ready
to help anyone.

Sister Janice Ross was preceded in death by her mother and father; brother, Billy Colvin; daughter, Traci Williams; and grandson, LaNel Ross. She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving and devoted husband of 57 years, Lennon Ross, Sr. of Parkton, NC; son, Lennon Ross, Jr. (Diana) of Fayetteville, NC; two daughters, Lenita Campbell of Charlotte, NC and Regina McLaughlin of Hope Mills, NC; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; five brothers-in-law, Johnnie Ross of Norfolk, VA, Earnest Ross (Lessie) of Raeford, NC, Daniel Ross of Fayetteville, NC, Nathaniel Ross (Loleta) of Arlington, TX and Bobby Ross of Fayetteville, NC; three sisters-in-law, Rena Ross of Washington DC, Gloria Williams (Rod) of Fayetteville, NC and Shelia Ross of Woodbridge, VA; two dear and special friends: caretaker, Carolyn Pittman, favorite brother-in-law, Daniel Ross; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
