CityView’s new health reporter, Morgan Casey, and senior reporter Paul Woolverton were on the air on Monday with morning talk show host Jennifer Jones Rochelle for CityView’s weekly appearance on WFNC radio’s “Good Morning Fayetteville” show.
Here’s the highlights:
- Are you crushed by massive medical debts? Morgan talked about efforts by Gov. Roy Cooper and the state Department of Health and Human Services to get hospitals to participate in a program that will pay them to forgive medical bills.
- High paying jobs are on the way. Project Aero — also called American Titanium Metal — announced last week it will build its $868 million plant in Fayetteville. That’s 304 jobs paying an average of $123,476.
- Electric bills to go down. The Fayetteville Public Works Commission anticipates making a rate reduction, starting in September.
- And Morgan joined CityView in early July. She talked about moving to Fayetteville from Baltimore and Phoenix, covering health care, and finding fun things to do in her new city.
