Good morning. The Fayetteville Cumberland Economic Development Corporation is asking the Fayetteville City Council to approve economic incentives to attract an air dome manufacturer to establish operations in Fayetteville.
Referred to in city documents as “Project Crossfit,” the proposed development includes the company’s headquarters, manufacturing plant and distribution center for its air dome structures. The proposed incentives include $63,948 from the city and $88,170 from the county, paid in annual installments over five years, writes Evey Weisblat. The city council will hold a public hearing on the proposed incentives at tonight’s council meeting. For more details, check out our lead story below.
Welcome to CityView Today. Cape Fear Valley Health is providing families with a new hospice care option. Valley Hospice House, located at 2431 Legion Road, will provide 24-hour specialized care to the terminally ill and dying. Once it opens tomorrow, over a year after its blessing ceremony, it will be Cumberland County’s first freestanding hospice house. And in case you missed it, Fayetteville Police Chief Kemberle Braden announced on Friday the police department is investigating a triple homicide that occurred earlier the same morning on Bellarthur Lane, in the Cape Fear Crossing subdivision off of Clinton Road.
