“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted” Matthew 5:4

Travon Lamar Lesane was born in Robeson County on March 7, 1988 to Terrance Lesane and Gwendolyn Robinson Lesane. Travon entered into eternal rest on Thursday, Jul 6, 2023. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Mattie Whitted, Grandfather-Stacy Howell and Great Grandparents James & Trevia Lesane.

“Von” as he was affectionally known, joined Floyd Temple #1 in Lumberton, NC, under the guidance of his Grandma Mattie. Von was Mattie’s “King”! Floyd Temple is where his spiritual training began as he participated in the choir and attended Sunday School.

“Von” attended Plain View Primary, Tar Heel Middle and West Bladen High. He worked for a brief period at Cogentrix in Lumberton. Von has lots of mechanical skills and was great with his hands. He also worked at Richardson & Sons Tire. He prided himself as being a “certified” hardworking man. He was always a respectful young man to his elders. Although, Von was the oldest of the four boys, he was always ‘protected’ by his younger brothers.

Travon leaves beautiful memories of his life and legacy to his three children: Travaria (LaPrincia McNeill), Madison and Tyler (Kokoa Stocks); his parents Terrance Lesane (Shana) and Gwendolyn Robinson Lesane; his brothers Terrance, Tevin and Trevor (Laura); one niece Layla Lesane; Grandparents Nathanial & Winnie Lesane; Grandfather Bill “ Foster” Whitted; Uncle John Robinson; Great Uncles Raymond (Letha) Lesane, Furman Howell, Sr., Bobby Howell (Shirley) and Russel Howell; Great Aunts Mary Murphy, Yvonne (Sim) Robeson and Myra Nealy; Step-Sibilings Harmonee, Heaven and Tyrence; Godfather Gary Richardson (Aunt Shonda), Aunt Erica “Tina”, Cousins Shemar & Sabri, Special Cousin Nicole Robeson and Special Friend Nadia McMillian and a host of Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.
