Mr. Maurice Modesto Ancheta, 86, of Fayetteville, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025.
Mr. Ancheta was proceeded in death by his parents, Alice Ancheta and Candido Ancheta; his first wife, Helen Louise Ancheta, and a daughter, Luana Louise Ancheta. He is survived by his second wife, Jeanne Ancheta of the home; a son, Jeffrey Ancheta and wife, Kathy of Fuquay Varina; a brother, Tony Ancheta, and two sisters, Alice Panui and Luana Ancheta, all from Hawaii; two grandsons, Robert Ancheta and wife, Robin, and Christopher Ancheta and wife, Christy; a granddaughter, Kayla Ancheta; and five great grandchildren, Elena Ancheta, Colt Ancheta, Ethan Ancheta, Skylar Ancheta, and Malia Ancheta.
He was a loving and committed husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, friend, and child of our Heavenly Father. He proudly served his family, God, church, community, and country (U.S. Army, MSG, retired). He lived with an open heart that was genuine and caring towards all who came into his life, sharing his joy and lively spirit freely with all.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Rivers of Living Water Church from 11 to 11:45 am. A funeral service with full military honors will be held at 12 pm with Reverend Johnny Rivera officiating. Burial to follow the service at Lafayette Memorial Park West.
