Fayetteville native and Kansas City Chiefs’ Josh Williams held a Community Day event from 3-7 p.m. on Friday, May 16, at Friendship Resource Community Center, located at 357 E. Mountain Drive.

The Game Plan for Greatness event featured free food and haircuts and an opportunity to take photos with Williams and get his autograph. The first 100 kids to arrive received swag bags.

“This past weekend was nothing short of amazing … ,” said Williams, a Fayetteville State University and Jack Britt High School alum, in an Instagram post. “To my city and to everyone involved: I love you. I’m forever grateful. Fayetteville built me. This is just the beginning.”
