Veterans Day Observance Ceremony: This is being held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 10, on the Student Terrace beside the Gazebo. (This is on Hull Road between the Tony Rand Student Center and the Advanced Technology Center.) The guest speaker will be Andrea Allard, director of transition services for the N.C. Dept. of Military and Veterans Affairs. This event is open to the public. 

Holiday Bazaar: The Gaming and Interactive Digital Media Club is hosting a Holiday Handmade and Homemade Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11, in the Multipurpose Room of the Tony Rand Student Center. The bazaar will feature items from 28 vendors and displays by FTCC student clubs and departments. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.

Peter and the Starcatcher: Over the next two weeks, FTCC’s Fine Arts Department is presenting eight performances of a wonderful, family-friendly student production of “Peter and the Starcatcher,” a play by Rick Elise based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson. The play tells the origin story of Peter Pan, Mrs. Darling, Tinker Bell and Hook. Performances in Cumberland Hall Auditorium will be at 7 p.m. on Nov. 9-11 and Nov 16-18 (Thursday through Saturday) and there will also be a matinee performance at 2 p.m. on each of those Saturdays. Admission is free and open to the public. Don’t miss it!

Basketball: The Trojan men are playing Central Carolina Community College at home at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 8, and the women are playing Louisburg College at home at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 12. The home court for FTCC basketball is the gym at Reid Ross Classical School at 3200 Ramsey St. Admission is free.
