The suspect wanted for the first-degree murder of Crystal Michelle Loughran that occurred in the area of Fieldcrest Street and Cedric Street on Oct. 11 has been apprehended after  barricading himself in a home on the 5600 block of Mesa Drive, the Fayetteville Police Department said. 

The wanted subject has now been identified as Raeqwon Mitchell Carlisle, a 28-year-old Black male, of Fayetteville. 

On Friday, police received information on the location of a wanted subject being at a residence on Mesa Drive.  At approximately 6:14 a.m. Friday, officer arrived at the residence on Mesa Drive. During the attempt to apprehend Carlisle, he barricaded himself inside of the residence, the police department said.

After hours of negotiations Carlisle surrendered peacefully with the assistance of his family members on scene. Carlisle was apprehended “safe and sound without incident,” police said.
