Danny Martin Parker, 77, passed away on Sunday January 11, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Aleene (Best) Parker; and his sister, Diana Parker Long.
Danny is survived by his wife, Marsha; his son, Terry Parker (Becky), his daughter, Tina Lefler (Gene); his brother, DeWayne Parker (Wendy); his sister, Denise Carter; his grandchildren, Stephen and Lizzie; his great-grandchildren, Owen Small and Heidi Small, who called him PawPaw; a special great-nephew, Mason Burns; a host of nieces and nephews; and many more family and friends.
Danny served his country in the U.S Navy during the Vietnam era. He enjoyed and excelled at hunting, fishing, and especially stock car racing, where he was dubbed ‘The Bear’. He was inducted to the Cumberland County Stock Car Hall of Fame. He touched the hearts of many and will be dearly missed.
A memorial service will be held at 7 PM Thursday, January 15, 2026 at Rogers & Breece Funeral Home with Reverend Johnnie Tadlock officiating. The family will be greeting guests prior to the service from 5-7PM.
