Thomas John Graham, 26 (T.J. / aka Hoss) gained his wings on July 6, 2026. He passed away peacefully at home. 

Thomas was born July 6, 2000 in Cumberland County North Carolina. He was the oldest son of Susan (Suzie) Graham and step-dad Tony Thomas and the only son of the late David Earl Melton. 

Thomas spent his first 5 years here in Fayetteville. After that he moved to Crumpler, North Carolina. There he attended school in Ashe County until his 10th grade year where he then moved back to Fayetteville, North Carolina and graduated from Southview High School in Hope Mills,North Carolina. While he was born in Fayetteville and eventually gained his wings, the mountains always called him home.  

Thomas spent the last few years caring for his dad David Melton until his death June 7, 2026. 

Thomas loved talking and joking with his sister for hours. He was so proud of her. He is and will always be her Best Friend. He loved hearing about what his step brothers were doing and seeing how tall they were.  

Thomas enjoyed video gaming with his friends. Many of whom called him brother and best friend. He was always there with a good laugh or help if needed. And he always had a shoulder you could lean on. You were family. And family was everything to him. 

Thomas is survived by his mother Susan (Suzie) Graham and step-dad Tony Thomas, a sister Savannah Graham (Austin), and his step brothers James and Tyler Thomas, and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.  

Thomas is preceded in death by his father, David Earl Melton, his maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Daniel James Graham Jr. His paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Eugene W. Melton Sr. His grandfather Butch Thomas. 

A celebration of life will be held by the family.
