With the health restrictions of COVID-19 preventing normal event activities, the Arts Council, the Cool Spring Downtown District and the Downtown Alliance of merchants have been working especially hard to create a more extended holiday experience in the Downtown beginning in mid-November and running until the end of December. As it has been said, “ You may not know what’s happening downtown, but you know you’ll always find something unexpected and fun.” This will especially be true on these holiday weekends and in the afternoon and evening of Friday, November 27th with “Holiday Shopping and the Arts in the Spirit of Dickens.”
If you cannot make it downtown, but don’t want to miss out on the excitement, please follow us on Facebook for the times that we will be live-streaming what’s happening in the downtown.
What to Expect:
While Downtown, enjoy curbside or in-store pickup shopping, horse-drawn carriages rides*, embrace touch-free Victorian Holiday LifeSize Photo Cutouts as well as store front windows adorned with beautiful Victorian decorations! Most importantly, relish in the holiday spirit through song with live Carolers!
Support local businesses by taking advantage of in the Spirit of Dickens specials! If you cannot make it downtown, The Arts Council will stream live – capturing the memorable holiday experience on our YouTube and Facebook channels!
*COVID safety practices will be enforced: wearing a mask and social distancing.
