Fayetteville police ID officers involved in fatal shooting

The Fayetteville Police Department has released the names of the officers involved in the fatal shooting of a woman who appeared to be suffering from a mental crisis on July 1. In a release Wednesday, the Police Department identified the officers as Officer Zacharius Borom and Sgt. Timothy Rugg. Both have been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation, the department said.
