The eighth annual Pinwheel Masquerade Ball and Auction, benefitting the Child Advocacy Center, is scheduled for Oct. 1 from 7 to 11 p.m. at Cape Fear Botanical Garden, 536 N. Eastern Blvd. Tickets are $75 for one, $140 for two, and $1,000 for a VIP table of eight during the early bird special, which ends Sept. 16. The evening will consist of culinary delicacies and live and silent auctions.
