4 things to know about voting, results on primary election day

Voters across Fayetteville and Cumberland County will head to the polls today to vote in the primary election.

Here are four things to know:

How long are the polls open?

Polls will remain open until 7:30 p.m. Any voters in line at their assigned polling place at 7:30 p.m. will be able to vote. 

What’s on the ballot?

Fayetteville voters will narrow the field of candidates for mayor and most City Council seats.

Other races on the ballot include U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, N.C. General Assembly, state and local judges, Cumberland County commissioners at-large, Cumberland County sheriff and Cumberland County clerk of court.

Where do I vote?

If you are unsure of your precinct or polling site, you can go to the Cumberland County Board of Elections website. You can find your polling site using your address.

How do I find out the results?

After the polls close, unofficial results will be posted as they become available on the North Carolina State Board of Elections website dashboard. You also may find a link at the Cumberland County Board of Elections website.
