82nd Airborne Soldiers to Headline City’s Independence Day Celebration

Posted

Music performances by soldiers with the 82nd Airborne Division will be entertaining the crowds during the City of Fayetteville’s Independence Day Celebration at Festival Park on Saturday, July 1. The City is starting the Fourth of July celebration early with a family-friendly concert and fireworks, featuring musical performances by the 82nd Airborne Division All American Chorus starting at 7:30 pm, followed by the 82nd Airborne Division rock band “Riser Burn.” Around 9 p.m., fireworks will light the sky over the stage of Festival Park. Gates open for the event at 6 pm.

This year’s lineup for the City’s Independence Day Celebration highlights the close partnership between the City of Fayetteville and Fort Bragg. The event will include free bounce houses for the children and food vendors will be on-site for those looking to grab a bite to eat while enjoying the free concert.

Only service animals will be allowed inside the gates of the event. Tents and canopies are not permitted. Attendees are welcome to bring outside refreshments, but are asked to not bring glass bottles.

This project is supported by the Arts Council in part by contributions from businesses and individuals, and through grants from the City of Fayetteville, Cumberland County and the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural & Cultural Resources.
