A nice wine for the entire table at Luigi’s

Posted

By Kim Hasty

Here’s a nice find among the many wines on the menu at Luigi’s Italian Chophouse and Bar. This is a reasonably priced red wine from the Bolgheri wine zone of the Maremma, a territory that runs parallel to the Tuscan. It’s a cabernet-based Bordeaux blend that seems to complement everything from steak to salmon. A man by the name of Massimo Piccin is the owner of the Podere Sapaio estate and makes this wine, Pappolo, for a friend of his, who is the wine supplier for Luigi’s. It’s not easy to find anywhere else.
