Alice Faye Wiggins, 84, of Fayetteville, passed away after an extended illness on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her family.
Alice was born on April 6, 1940, in Dillon, SC to the late Jessie Leonard Black and Annie Belle Thompson Black.
She enjoyed reading, cooking and traveling, however her happiest time was spent with her family and sharing the love of Jesus with the lost.
Alice worked for 30 years with K-Mart, where she started out in the personnel department and then traveled for many years with the company before she retired.
She was a former longtime member of Carroll Memorial Baptist Church and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church where she was active when her health allowed.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 2 p.m. at the Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Raeford City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 6-8 p.m.
In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, R.C. Wiggins and her brother, Ray Black.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Wiggins Bannon and husband Ron, Donna Wiggins Johnson and husband Mike; her son, Richard Craig Wiggins; grandchildren, Brittany Johnson Miller and husband Matt, Brad Johnson, Richard Cameron Wiggins, Richard Cayden Wiggins; great-grandchildren, Finnlee Miller, Farrah Miller, Macoy Miller, Elizabeth Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.
