Alice Thompson Benton, 85, of Fayetteville, went home to be with the Lord on November 18, 2023.
Alice was born in Saint Pauls, NC on January 29, 1938, daughter to the late James ‟JC” Council Thompson and Maggie Arnett Thompson. Along with her parents, Alice is proceeded in death by her husband Benny Benton Sr. and a sister, Tootsie Hamblin. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Broadwell; son, Benny Benton Jr.; one grandchild Mandy Bryant and husband Kurt; two great grandchildren, Brooke and Braxton Bryant; a brother, James Thompson and many other extended family members and friends.
The Family will receive friends 11:00-11:45 AM Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.
Funeral Services will begin at 11:45 AM following the visitation with Pastor Wesley Hamilton officiating.
Interment will follow at 1:00 PM in LaFayette Memorial Park, 2301 Ramsey St. Fayetteville, NC 28301.
In Lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Antioch PFWB Church of Erwin, 494 Antioch Church Rd, Dunn, NC 28334.
