Angelo “AJ” Travis Woodell, 53, passed away on May 23, 2023.
Angelo was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe Jeffcoat and Katie Christine Jeffcoat; his father, Angelo Travis Woodell Sr.; and father-in-law, Bryon Benson. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Ginger Woodell; children, Samantha Woodell and Ashley Woodell Howell of Fayetteville; parents, Elizabeth and John Bolton; sister, Pamela Woodell and Kevin Carter; brothers-in-law, Christopher Benson and Brian Benson; grandchild, Alexandria Rae Howell; nieces, Elizabeth Grace Carter, Kaylee Benson, Laura Dahlving and Lisa Dahlving; nephew, Justin Mott; aunt, Pearl Harris; and sisters-in-law, Brenda Mott and Teresa Dahlvig.
Angelo was born in Cumberland County in 1970. He was a hard-working family man. Angelo was in the newspaper business for more than 30 years, recently working with the Fayetteville Observer.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Cross Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Archie Barringer officiating.
