Musical Theater Summer Camp: Full-day camp that teaches basic audition and acting techniques, backstage management and more. Bring a water bottle, two snacks and a packed lunch. Ages 6 and older. Smith Recreation Center. 8 a.m.-5 p.m. June 12-16. Registration deadline is June 9. $100.

Cultural Arts Summer Camp: Full-day acting camp for aspiring actors and those who want to build self-confidence. Campers will learn about basic audition and acting techniques; backstage management; and music and dance routines for a full musical production at the end of the session. Ages 10 and older. College Lakes Recreation Center, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. dates to be announced. $150.

Little Picassos Art Camp: Students create fun works of art in the style of Picasso. Ages 3-5. 9 a.m.-noon June 19-23, Lake Rim Recreation Center. $70. Registration deadline is June 16.

Mixed Up Art Camp: Campers work with different forms of arts and crafts materials, making a project every day to take home. Ages 6 and older. 9 a.m.-noon June 26-30, Kiwanis Recreation Center; 9 a.m.-noon July 10-14, Cliffdale Recreation Center. $75 per session; combo option offered. Registration deadline is June 23 for Session 1 and July 7 for Session 2.

“The Adventures of Our Lives, So Far!”: World premiere musical written for summer campers ages 6-9. Sessions are June 19-24, June 26-July 1 and Aug. 7-12. $200.

“Disney’s Aladdin Jr.”: The story you know and live has been given the royal treatment. Ages 10-14. Sessions are June 5-17, July 10-22 and July 24-Aug. 5. $350.

“Sister Act”: When disco diva Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won’t be a found: a convent. Ages 15-19. July 17-Aug. 13. $350.

Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra 

Fayetteville Symphony Youth Orchestra String Camp will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 12-16 at Fayetteville Academy. The camp is led by Kristin Stiteler, Youth Orchestra director and a Fayetteville Sympony violist. Stiteler will be joined by other professional symphony musicians to provide a learning opportunity for students. The cost is $300 or $350 with lunch included. Some scholarships are available. String Sinfonietta Summer Camp will be held from 9 a.m. to noon June 19-23 at Berean Baptist Church. The morning day camp is for students 12 and younger who play violin, viola, cello, or double bass.
