Austin Wayne Braun, 25, of Fayetteville, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at his residence.
Austin was born on March 28, 1998, in Cumberland County to Daniel Wayne Braun and Billie Jo Adkins. He was a loving son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend to all who knew him. As a young boy, he was involved in many sports, and as he matured, his interests turned to computers and gaming. When Austin wasn’t in front of a computer, you could find him hunting for squirrel or deer and at other times fishing locally or at the coast.
The family will receive family and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at noon Saturday. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park.
Austin was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Wayne Adkins, and his uncle, Richard Braun Jr.
He is survived by his mother, Billie Jo Adkins; father, Daniel Wayne Braun; brothers, Hunter William Braun and Skyler Braun; maternal grandmother, Brenda Adkins; paternal grandparents, Richard and Brenda Braun; aunt, Jennifer Avila and uncle, Victor Avila; and uncle, Michael Braun; cousins, Jonah and Justin Avila.
