Cumberland County Schools will be closed Thursday and all schoolwork will be remote because of the threat of stormy weather related to Tropical Storm Idalia, according to a statement on the school system’s website. The National Weather Service in Raleigh has issued a tropical storm warning for Cumberland County ahead of Hurricane Idalia.
