Halloween for Hallo-weenies

It’s safe to say that every horror movie I’ve ever seen has scarred me for life. Thus, I will be scrolling right past all the “Scream” movies on Netflix this Halloween and opting instead for something that’s right on my level of “scary.” It’ll be a tough call between “Casper the Friendly Ghost” and “Pooh’s Heffalump Halloween,” and I’ll still watch with all the lights on.

The new kid

As families come and go along the military highway, it’s very commonplace for the halls of our schools to be graced with lots of unfamiliar faces at the beginning of each year, and if you’re like me and have ever been the “new kid,” you know that it ain’t exactly easy.

I spent many years of my life learning the French language. At the school I attended, foreign language was offered as an elective beginning in middle school, and after introductory courses in basic Latin, Spanish, and French, students could choose to continue with either French or Spanish for the remainder of their academic years.
