Bobby Britt Cashwell passed away peacefully in his home on September 13th, 2022.
Born on November 2nd, 1931, to Jesse James and Leona Cashwell, Bobby was a resident of Sampson County, NC most of his life before moving to Cumberland County, NC. Bobby served two tours in the military with the Army and Air Force and then had a long-standing career with the telephone company. Bobby was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed going to
Cape Fear High School sporting events and venturing out to Hardee’s for a morning cup of coffee.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Leona, wife, Margaret, and siblings, Geraldine Butler, Hilda Tunstall, Helen McLamb, and James Cashwell.
Bobby left behind many who will cherish his memory and who will miss him dearly: his children: David Cashwell and Lisa Carter (Brian); grandchildren: Kyle Haynie (Christian), Summer Faircloth, Haven Cashwell, and Nicole Cashwell; greatgrandchild: Edison Haynie; and siblings: Julie Pope, and Kay Basinger.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, September 17th , 2022, at Devotional Gardens in Magnolia, NC where family and friends are welcome to come and celebrate the life of Bobby.
