
Bruce Turner Jr., 65, passed away peacefully at his home in Fayetteville, N.C., on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. His kindness, generosity, wisdom, outgoing spirit and especially his wit will be greatly missed.
Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Bruce Turner Sr.; mother, Patricia Beach Young; and sister, Patricia Young.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Tina Sheptak Turner; sons, Bruce Jason Turner (Cherie) of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and James Michael Turner of Wilmington, North Carolina; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and a host of great-nieces and -nephews.
Bruce was born a baby boomer at Fort Rucker, Alabama.ย He always enjoyed sharing his stories of growing up as a military โbratโ and loved his childhood. Bruce attended Seventh-First High School. He retired with more than 40 years as an area manager for Goodyear Tire & Rubber (Kelly Springfield), where he created friendships that lasted a lifetime. He loved his fur babies, fishing, NASCAR, sci-fi and western movies, anything alien, hot rods, the beach, hosting backyard poolside barbecues, and spending time working in the yard and in the garage.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. in the Rogers and Breece Chapel.
