The store is owned by Angelo Giannakopoulos and Timothy Moorehead, who also own six other stores in North and South Carolina.

“We saw the need for an affordable tech repair provider in Fayetteville, so I’m excited for Asurion Tech Repair & Solutions to fill that gap,” Giannakopoulos said in the release. “Connecting locals to the people, places and things that matter most is our number one priority, in addition to offering superb customer service, and we look forward to serving this community well.”

School system celebrates its web managers

Cumberland County Schools on June 3 recognized the district’s web managers for their hard work and dedication.

The 180 web managers, who oversee and update the district's 150 school and department websites, were invited to a drive-thru luncheon at the Educational Resource Center, the school system said in a release. Each web manager received a note of thanks, a boxed lunch and gift cards that were donated by community partners.

"We realize that the website is our #1 resource tool, and our web managers oversee this crucial part of communications in our district," said Lindsay Whitley, the associate superintendent of the school system’s Communications and Community Engagement department. "We see our web managers as 'our silent communicators.' They are always quietly working 'behind the scenes' to make sure up-to-date information appears on the website for our families and the community at large. We value their efforts every day."
