Posted

More than 1,300 high school seniors received their diplomas during five graduation ceremonies on Monday at the Crown Coliseum.

Cape Fear High School valedictorian Nick Shook challenged classmates to “make a difference.”

“Let us be fearless in pursuing our dreams, open-minded in embracing new possibilities, resilient in the face of adversity, wise in our decisions, adaptable to change, responsible in our actions, and determined to make a difference,” Shook said.
