Carolyn Ann Melvin, 81, of Hope Mills, NC, went home to be with the Lord on January 10, 2023, after a brief illness.
She was born December 15, 1941, to the late Albert and Hazel Johnson of Fayetteville, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Melvin, and sister, Nancy Johnson.
Carolyn is survived by her son, Mark, and his wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Brittany Gunyan, and her husband, Peter, and Courtney Melvin; niece Kim Jeffreys, who was like a daughter, her husband, Wesley, and her children, Tiffany Faulk and Christopher Barfield.
Family will receive friends at Rogers & Breece Funeral Home from 11 a.m.-noon on January 12, 2023, with memorial services to follow at noon with Pastor Gary Strickland and Associate Pastor Bailey Weeks officiating. Committal will be conducted following the service at Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery.
