Carolyn Garner Taylor, 91, of Fayetteville, passed away on March 21, 2023.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Evelyn Garner; sister, Gail Garner Bogan; son, Richard E. Taylor; and her husband, Richard E. Taylor Jr.. She is survived by her daughter, Debra Barefoot (William); adopted son, Charles N. Gill (Crystal); daughter-in-law, Renee Taylor; grandchildren, Kristie Godwin (Robert), Natasha Drews, and Luke Barefoot (Shannon); great-grandchildren, Kristina Alexander (Gideon), Aiden Godwin, Tyler Godwin, Aubren Barefoot (Antonius), Quentin Walker, Avari Barefoot, Skylar Nottingham (Ethan), Joshua Shove, and Britten Drews; great-great-grandchildren, Jackson Alexander, Charlotte Alexander; and one great-great-granddaughter on the way. Carolyn also leaves behind her siblings, Barbara Kirby and David Garner; a host of loving nieces and nephews; and her special pet, Golden Boy.
Carolyn retired after many years of service at Belk Department Store in Tallywood and Cross Creek Mall.
The family will greet friends at Arran Lake Baptist Church from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, March 27, 2023. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Jeff Eisenhower officiating. Burial will follow the service at Lafayette Memorial Park.
