For the 45th year, the International Folk Festival
will celebrate the diversity of the Fayetteville community with music, dance, food and cultural pride.

The festival, sponsored by the Arts Council of Fayetteville-Cumberland County to promote unity and community, will be held Sept. 22-24 downtown.

Traditional dancers, musicians, artisans, and food and craft vendors are the backbone of the festival, which attracts more than 75,000 visitors during its three-day run.

The highlight is the Parade of Nations, which brings together multiple ethnic groups to share the artistic vibrancy of their heritage. Other features include international cuisines and children’s activities.

For the Parade of Nations at 10 a.m. Sept. 23, more than 30 cultural groups representing every corner of the globe will gather to celebrate with music, dance and colorful costumes. Live music, dance and performance exhibitions will include an array of talent.
