Charles D. Smith, 95, passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 16th, 2025 at his home.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lettie Ward Smith and his daughters, Diana Salmon and Helen Knotek.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Pamela Cook of Fayetteville, along with his grandchildren – Ron Cook, Jr., Jon Salmon, Melissa Salmon, and Lorie Knotek, and his great grandchild Ethan Cook.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm April 24, 2025 at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Lafayette Memorial Park. Visitation will be held prior to the services at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Samaritan’s Purse, in honor of Major C.D. Smith.
