Chase Colas, 35, passed away on October 21, 2023. He was born on November 18, 1987, to Greg and Jacklyn Colas, in Haymarket, VA.
Chase was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Raymond Colas; his maternal grandfather, Dudley Jackson Martin Jr.; his maternal grandmother, Evelyn Martin; his paternal uncle, Marvin Colas, and his paternal aunt, Carole Martin. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Sierra Colas of North Carolina; his parents, Gregory and Jacklyn Colas of Bell Buckle, TN; his in-laws, Robert and Corina Underwood of Fayetteville, NC; his brother, Jeremiah Colas (Dana) of Murfreesboro, TN; his sister, Allison Colas of Bell Buckle, TN; brother-in-law, Corey Underwood of Fayetteville, NC; his niece, Zoeanne Callison-Colas; his nephews, Hudson and Carter Colas; and his uncles, Tim Colas (Mary), Todd Colas (Rhonda), DJ Martin III (Chris) Michael Martin (Patty), Patrick Martin (Kathy), John Martin (Melissa), and Joseph Martin (Kathleen).
Chase enjoyed growing up with his older brother, Jeremy and sister, Allison. As a young child, Chase loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and paintball with his friends. Chase played Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, Football and Wrestling as a child. He attended Emmanuel Christian School and then Mountain View Elementary. While in 5 th grade, Chase moved with his family to Nokesville, VA where he attended Nokesville Elementary and then went on to Brentsville Middle and High School. While in Middle and High School, Chase played football, Wrestled, and ran Cross Country for Brentsville. During his teen years, Chase developed his love for cars and hunting. After graduating from High School, Chase worked for American Truck and Trailer and later attended Universal Technical Institute, in Houston, TX, where he became certified as a Master Auto Body Technician. Chase started his Auto Body career working for his grandfather, at Dudley Martin Chevrolet. After he moved to North Carolina, he began working for Hendrick Collision Center. While at Hendrick, Chase met the love of his life, Sierra. They were married on October 12, 2019. Chase and Sierra enjoyed spending most of their free time together, hunting and fishing. traveling, and tending to their flock of chickens. Chase was a light in this world, and he loved to help others in any way he could. He was very passionate about the outdoors, and he especially enjoyed teaching others how to hunt and fish. He took many of his friends and his friend’s children hunting for the first time.
Chase loved the Lord, and he is now in His presence. Chase is loved by so many and will be greatly missed by Sierra, his family, and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, November 19th, 2023, and a Funeral Service will be held in Virginia on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023.
