Chicken Salad Chick is coming to Fayetteville

Posted

The Foodie recently learned that the franchise Chicken Salad Chick is scheduled to open a location in Fayetteville. The restaurant, which specializes in several varieties of distinctive chicken salad, is planned for a January opening at 2811 Raeford Road, the former site of Five Guys.

Founder Stacy Brown was a stay-at-home mother who began by selling her homemade chicken salad in Auburn, Alabama. The restaurant offers 15 chicken salad varieties served on either bread or a bed of lettuce. They include classic recipes with sweet pickles and egg, as well as others that feature ingredients like grapes and pecans, fresh basil and lemon and ranch dressing and bacon. The restaurant also offers pimiento cheese, salads, soups and signature buttercream frosted cookies.

Foodie had the chance to visit the popular Wilmington location, and Fayetteville resident Cathy Hopkins recently visited the Cary location in Waverly Place with her husband Mike. While there, the owner let her know that Fayetteville soon would be getting a Chicken Salad Chick of its own.

“I told him it would be well-loved,” she said. “He told me that the Fayetteville restaurant business is the best in the country. I thought that was impressive.”
