City and county offices and county courts will be closed Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Fayetteville’s bus service will operate on a normal schedule.
Other departments will be closed for the holiday, including:
- Police Department:The front lobby and records unit of the main police station and records at 467 Hay St. will be closed.
- Trash and recycling: Garbage and yard waste on Monday’s routes will be collected on Wednesday. Recycling will be collected as scheduled for Monday.
- Fayetteville Regional Airport: Administrative offices will be closed Monday. Visit flyfay.com for airline contact information or to make reservations.
- Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks & Recreation: Administrative offices will be closed Monday. Recreation centers will operate on the abbreviated schedule of 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Parks, trails and green spaces will remain open.
Cumberland County government offices and the court system will be closed Monday. This includes all landfills and container sites, all library branches and Animal Services.
