Claire H. Carver-Lacy (Dolores Clark), who was born in Mansfield, Pennsylvania, on April 10, 1933, to Catherine and Hildren J. Clark, met her Lord and savior on Sept. 4, 2023, while residing in Fayetteville, N.C.
Her five children, Tony Mahosky of Morris, Pennsylvania; Yvonne (Robert) Burdick of Sparta, North Carolina; Dee Dee Ostrom of Arnot, Pennsylvania; Michelle (James) Bowen of Wellsboro, Pennsylvania; and David (Rochelle) Mahosky of Yucaipa, California, will cherish her love and devotion. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her spouse of 36 years, James (Jim) R. Lacy, on July 27, 2023.
Claire had a very generous and kind heart, supporting several charitable organizations as well as frequently giving groceries, especially rotisserie chickens, to her neighbors and friends. She also supported educational opportunities several family members had.
Claire was especially proud that she continued her own education, taking multiple business courses and obtaining her California real estate license and her ministerial credentials.
Prior to retiring in North Carolina, Claire worked as a production manager for Apple Computer Co. in California.
Claire and Jim will be interred at a later date in Mansfield, Pennsylvania.
