Cook pitched two three-inning perfect games for South View against Seventy-First and Douglas Byrd. At the plate she was 4-for-6 with three doubles and six RBIs.
Taft Courie, Terry Sanford, golf
Courie, a freshman for the Bulldogs, helped lead the golf team to victory in the weekly All American Conference tournament at Anderson Creek. Courie got a birdie on the first hole en route to medalist honors with an even par 36. After three matches Courie has the second-best stroke average in the conference behind leader and teammate Ethan Paschal. In the team battle, Terry Sanford has a 56-stroke lead over second-place Harnett Central.
