Cumberland County Schools will host a “kindergarten showcase” to introduce incoming kindergarten students and their families to the elementary school environment.
Two districtwide kindergarten orientation nights are planned, according to a school system news release.
Elementary schools will host orientations on either April 27 or May 3. The hours are 5 to 7 p.m., the release said.
Families will be able to complete the registration process, meet teachers, participate in classroom and school tours, and learn about school and classroom procedures. A schedule of each school’s orientation is listed on the CCS website.
Children must be 5 years old on or before Aug. 31 to enroll in kindergarten for the next school year. Online registration will begin April 24, the release said.
