The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting Friday afternoon at Davis and Holland streets.
Deputies responded to a reported shooting around 3:50 p.m. When deputies arrived, they found a man who had been shot inside a vehicle, the Sheriff’s Office said in a release. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
His identity is being withheld until his next of kin can be notified.
“The preliminary investigation has revealed that this shooting is not a random incident,’’ the release said.
