The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of a man exposing himself to a woman jogging around Sherwood Park Elementary School on Wednesday.
Just after 6 p.m., deputies received a report from a woman jogging around the school.
The man approached the jogger, exposed himself and then charged at the woman, the Sheriff’s Office said in a release. The man then demanded that the woman get on the ground.
The woman ran away and flagged down a Fayetteville police officer who was in the area for an unrelated call, the release said. The Police Department used a dog to try and find the man but was not successful.
The man was last seen running toward Friar Avenue, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Anyone with information regarding the identity of this man is asked to contact Lt. J. Woods at 910-677-5511 or Fayetteville / Cumberland County CrimeStoppers at 910-483-TIPS (8477).
