Daniel Ray Smith, 76, passed away on April 15, 2026.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Albert L. Smith Jr. and Anniemae Rogers Smith; his sister, Cynthia Ann Maness; and his brothers, Johnny Smith and Charles Wayne Smith.
Danny is survived by his wife, Kathy Denise Little; his brother and wife, Larry B. and Ann Smith; and his sister and husband, Nancy and Steve Byrd.
Danny Ray served in the United States Army from 1970 to 1972. He was deeply devoted to his best friend and wife of 16 years, Kathy, cherishing the life they built together. The only thing that rivaled his love for Kathy was his love for the Lord. Danny served his local church faithfully in any way he could, always willing to lend a helping hand and support those around him.
A memorial service will be held at 12:45 PM on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Judson Baptist Church with Gary Horne officiating. The family will greet guests prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fayetteville Animal Protection Society (F.A.P.S.) in honor of Daniel’s love for cats.
