Emily Tealia Brady, 19, of Fayetteville passes away Wednesday, June 21, 2023.

Emily was born in Richmond County, N.C., on Oct. 24, 2003, daughter of Samantha Wyand and Michael Brady. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Tammy Lynn Moore, and grandfather, Wilbur Sammy Wyand.

Emily is survived by her mother, Samantha Wyand of Hope Mills, N.C., and her father, Michael Brady of Asheboro, N.C. She leaves behind her siblings, Aishah Powell of Rockingham, N.C.; Elijah Wyand of Rockingham, N.C.; Chloe′ Jones of Hope Mills, N.C.; Jewel Jones of Hope Mills, N.C.; Malik Brady of Asheboro, N.C.; Michael Brady of Asheboro, N.C.; Gavin Martin of Greensboro, N.C.; Maliyah Brady of Asheboro, N.C.; her fiancé, Maliki Shaw of Spring Lake, N.C.; and their puppy that she loved and adored, Draco; grandmother, Cynthia Carter of Asheboro, N.C. and grandfather, Ira Brady of Asheboro, N.C.; a host of loving aunties, uncles, cousins and friends. And we can’t forget about her two heartbeats, her niece, Holana King, and nephew, Elias Powell, and she couldn’t wait to meet her second niece and spoil all three of them.

Emily graduated from South View High School in May 2022, where she played basketball and track and field through middle and high school. Her dream was to become an NICU nurse, and she pursued that dream at Fayetteville Technical Community College. She was a young entrepreneur and created her very own business called Perky Fruit by Em. Emily loved children, always babysitting and loving anybody’s babies, children, friends or family. She loved singing, dancing, always making videos and was always the life of the party! Emily lit up any room she entered with her smile and bubbly personality, and she will be missed dearly.

Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Friday, June 30, 2023, at Crystal Springs Chapel, 1400 Crystal Springs Road, Fayetteville, NC 28306.

Funeral services will begin at 4 p.m. following the visitation with Pastor Bruce Suggs officiating.
