The Fayetteville Area System of Transit will host a hiring fair for bus drivers on from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 8 at the NC Works Career Center, 490 N. McPherson Church Road.
FAST is seeking drivers with a valid North Carolina Class B commercial driver’s license, six months of experience driving buses or similar equipment, a good driving record, and a current N.C. Department of Transportation medical card, according to a news release.
Job candidates will have the opportunity to meet with the FAST staff, participate in a pre-employment overview, and have on-the-spot interviews. Candidates are encouraged to visit the Employment with the City of Fayetteville web page to complete an application online before the job fair, the release said. Applications will also be taken on the day of the fair.
FAST offers competitive pay, paid holidays, benefits, retirement savings, overtime, and a $1,000 sign-on bonus, the release said.
